Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Rose Marie Hutcheson, age 86, on Friday, January 18, 2019 at the Emanuel Medical Nursing Home in Swainsboro, GA after an extended illness.

Funeral Services will be Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 3:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating. 

Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Norristown, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Sunday, January 20, 2019 from 2 -3 PM.

Pallbearers are  Robert "Jimbo" Hutcheson, George "Buddy" Lawson, Wayne Hutchinson, Michael Hutcheson, Brandon Youmans, P.O. Youmans Jr. and Peyton Frye

Mrs. Hutcheson was born in Emanuel County on November 18, 1932 to the late Grady Clifton Henry and Ruby Giles Henry. She lived in Port Wentworth, Georgia for fifteen years and moved to Emanuel County in 1947.  In addition to her parents, Marie was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth E. Hutcheson; her sister, Cuba Yvonne Henry and her brother, Larry Alan Henry.

She loved animals and mothered many cats and dogs of her own over the years. She was especially compassionate with stray animals and would often stop around various places to feed them.

She also loved elderly people and spent many hours as a loyal caregiver. She operated Country Manor for several years.

Survivors include:

Two Daughters: Vickie H. Youmans (Mike) of Swainsboro, GA and Teresa H. Wages (Donnie) of Dublin, GA

Three Grandchildren: Brandon Youmans of St. Simons Island, GA, Brooke Y. Frye (Peyton) of Swainsboro, GA , and Hannah Ward Wages of Dublin, GA.

Four Great-grandchildren: Molly Kate Youmans, Lawson Wade Frye, Anna Caroline Frye and Michael Stewart Youmans.

One sister: Lenore H. Carter of Adrian, GA

Several Nieces, nephews and extended family.
