Susan (Fleming) Bryant

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Susan “Susie” Bryant, age 78, of Swainsboro, GA on Thursday, January 18, 2024.

Funeral Services will be conducted Sunday, January 21, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tom Tidwell officiating.

Entombment will follow in the Eastbrook Cemetery & Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends Saturday, January 20, 2024 from 5 until 7:00PM, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are C. J. Bryant, Dusty Jones, Caleb Jones, Jason Scott, Gracen Fail, Dylan Ward, Damon Ward, Seth Willis and Nollan Scott.

Mrs. Bryant was born in St. Petersburg, FL., and was the daughter of Albert and Mae Littlefield Fleming. Susie was the owner and operator of “B’s” Diner for twenty plus years. She was not only a secretary at Carl’s Used Cars; she was her husband, Mr. Carl’s “Right Hand Man”. Susie enjoyed reading cookbooks and loved to cook. Her additional hobbies included crocheting and cross stitching. Susie also loved to travel. Her favorite places to go were the Smoky Mountains and to the beach.

Preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mr. Carl Bryant, a son, Carl “Buck” Bryant and a brother, Clarence Fleming.

Survivors include:

Two Daughters: Barbara Jones (Alan) of Chatsworth, GA and Linda Hairr (Johnny) of Swainsboro, GA.

Grandchildren: Jason Scott (Amber), CJ Bryant, Dusty Jones (Shannon), Delaine Evans (Todd), and Lisa Payne (Tommy).

Ten Great-Grandchildren and Two Great-Great Grandchildren.

Many nieces, nephews and extended family.

Caregiver: Melissa Radford.
