Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Elizabeth Mincey Mills Welch, age 90, on Monday, October 2, 2017, at Emanuel Medical Center.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 6, 2017 at 10:00 AM in Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating.

Interment will be in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield, GA

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers are Nephews and Grandsons.

Mrs. Welch was born February 3, 1927 in Garfield, GA to the late Willie and Ada Bell Hendley Mincey.  She was retired from ECI in Twin City, and lived and worked on the family farm next to Fifteen-Mile Creek.  Mrs. Welch was a member of Twin City First Baptist Church.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands, C. L. Welch, and Robbie F. Mills, Sr.;  her sons, Glen L. Mills, Robbie F. Mills, Jr., and Ricky Mills; her sisters, Louise Moore, Ruth Mewbourne, and Thelma Mincey; and her brothers, Lynwood Mincey and Curtis Mincey.

Survivors include:

Three Sons:  Ronald Mills of Twin City, GA;  David Mills (Joy) of Garfield, GA and Charles Mills of Marietta, GA

10 Grandchildren

25 Great-Grandchildren

1 Great-Great Grandchild

I enjoyed spending my childhood at the farm, family dinners, aunt Elizabeth was a very special lady!! My heart aches for y'all but she is finally home in God's loving arms! Wish I could come home but know you are in my thoughts and prayers!! Love always, Laquita
