Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Raymond L. Turner, age 91, of Swainsboro, GA, on Sunday, December 05, 2010 at the University Hospital in Augusta, GA after an extended illness. 

Funeral services Wednesday, December 8, 2010  at 11 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Atnip and Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.

Interment will be in the Swainsboro City Cemetery

Pallbearers are Sidney Jordan, Phillip Jordan, David Hudson, Bryant English, Kent Schmeiding and Jeff Stark. 

The family will receive friends at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors Tuesday evening from 6 – 8 PM. 

Mr. Turner was a native of Fairfield, FL, a World War II Navy veteran and a retired maintenance worker with King Mill Textiles. He had lived in Augusta for 21 years and moved to Swainsboro, GA in 1986.  Mr. Turner attended the Central Church of Christ and was preceded in death by his wife, Nita R. Turner. 

Survivors include: 

One Daughter and Son-In-Law:  Sally and Oliver R. Coleman of Swainsboro, GA 

3 Grandchildren, 8 Great-Grandchildren, 20 Great-Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Great-Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews

Sorry to hear about Mr.Raymond,but he was so active for a while. He lived a good long life .
