Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Eva Jean Weise, age 84, of Swainsboro, GA  on Sunday, August 10, 2014 at her residence.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Clarence Thompson officiating.

Interment will be in the Weise Family Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Tuesday evening from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are Travis Garrett, Howard Weise, Roy Weise, Chase Davis and Laney Robinson.

Honorary Escorts will be the Glad Garden Club Members and the Swainsboro Kiwanis Club Members.

Mrs. Weise was born in Orlando, FL and lived in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA for more than 20 years.  She graduated valedictorian of her high School in Ocoee, FL, worked for the Florida Real-estate Commission and later was office manager of the family owned business L. H. Weise Taxidermy Studio.  Mrs. Weise was a member of the Ebenezer Methodist Church, Glad Garden Club, Swainsboro Kiwanis Club, was an avid sportswomen who loved hunting, fishing and gardening.

Survivors include:

Her Husband of 68 years: L. H. Weise of Swainsboro, GA

One Daughter: Jeanne Davis of Swainsboro, GA

Two Sons: Francis Howard Weise (Joanne) of Boca Raton, FL and Roy Weise of Adrian, GA

Three Grandchildren: Jennifer Weise, Mya Whitt and Chase Davis

One Great-Grandchild: Rustin Carberry and extended family

We are so sorry to hear about the loss of Mrs. Weise. I enjoyed seeing her at the beauty shop. She was always friendly and such a lovely lady. Please accept our sympathies.
