Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Willie Pierce Bedgood, age 77, of Swainsboro, GA on Monday, October 28, 2019 at his residence.
Funeral services will be Friday, November 1, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Robert Webb officiating.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery with Military Honors.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday morning from 10:00 AM till time of service.
Pallbearers are Mark Smith, Dennis Kirkland, Greg Riner, Josh Bedgood, West Bedgood, and Jeff Newsome
Honorary Pallbearers are Denny Riner, Wayne Braswell, Lester Underwood, Eddie Lewis, Greg Newsome, and Jimmy Overstreet
Mr. Bedgood was born May 31, 1942 in Louisville, Jefferson County, GA to the late Charlie Jordan and Mattie Caraway Bedgood and served his country in the US Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He was a truck driver for over 45 years, driving the last 16 with Wal-Mart, and received awards for 4 million plus miles accident free. He was a huge fan of Nascar Racing, Georgia Bulldogs Football and the Braves. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.

His Wife of 53 years: JoAnn Thomas Bedgood of Swainsboro, GA.
Three Daughters: Becky Wilkerson (Bryce) of Kite, GA, Selena Fordham (Danny) of Adrian, GA and Jennifer Wammock of Swainsboro, GA
Two Sons: Gary Bedgood Collins (Julie) of Pascagoula, MS and Maddux Bedgood of Adrian, GA.
One Brother: C. J. Bedgood (Florence) of Swainsboro, GA.
Two Grandchildren: Skye Clark, Angel Brittingham (Chad).
Six Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
