Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Wiley Cox, age 82, of Adrian, GA, on Monday, April 5, 2021.
Funeral Services will be Thursday, April 8, 2021 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Arthur Conley officiating.
Interment will follow in the Mt. Zion Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery near Norristown, GA.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 7, 2021 from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
CDC social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are encouraged for your safety and the health and well being of others.
Pallbearers are Timmy Cox, Bennie Cox, Ray Cox, Jerry Cox, Ricky Hadden, and Travis Hadden, and Tony Cox.
Honorary Pallbearers are Cody Cox, Ivey Cox, Jeffery Cox, Brandon Cox, and Frank Woods, Jr.
Mr. Cox was born August 15, 1938 in Lexsy, GA to the late Raymond and Eddie Lee Henry Cox. Mr. Cox was a livestock farmer for many years. Wiley loved family gatherings and spending time with his family especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wives Carolyn Grimes Cox, and Betty Conley Peacock Cox and brother Colon Eugene Cox.

His Sons: Jerry Cox (Jenny) of Swainsboro, GA, Ray Cox (Monica) of Swainsboro, GA, Bennie Lee Cox (Kimberly) of Dublin, GA, Timmy Cox (Kathi) of Swainsboro, GA, and Tony Cox of Swainsboro, GA.
His Step-Sons: Ricky Hadden (Lynda) of Adrian, GA and Travis Hadden (Lisa) of Adrian, GA
His Step-Daughters: Kay Kennedy (Hank) of Dublin, GA, Misty Hadden of Adrian, GA, Jackie Cox (Reggie) of Sylvester, GA, and Chris Cribbs (Darren) of Brooklet, GA.
His Sisters: Joanne Walker of Swainsboro, GA, Mary Peebles of Swainsboro, GA, Bonnie Faye Hutcheson of Swainsboro, GA, and Margie Lumpkin of Adrian, GA
