Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Virgel Choate, age 81, of Midville, GA, on Sunday, July 21, 2019, at his residence.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service, from 10:00 until 11:00 AM.
Interment will be in the Midville City Cemetery
Pallbearers are: David Raley, Bill Rountree, Sammy Flanders, Larry Burch, Jeff Bunn and Tim Heath.
Mr. Choate was born February 3, 1938, in Jamestown, Tennessee to the late Virgel and Hazel Cooper Choate, he was a United States Navy Veteran; served on the Midville City Council for two terms and was Mayor of Midville from 1996-2000. Mr. Choate was Owner and Operator of Choates Service Station in Midville, GA for 49 years. He was a Baptist.

One Niece: JoAnn Anderson of Jenkinsburg, GA
