Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Viola Ethel Ashworth, age 101, of Swainsboro, GA, on Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at her residence.
Graveside services will be Friday, December 29, 2017 at Memorial Park Cemetery in Memphis, TN.
Mrs. Ashworth was born August 30, 1916 in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Archie and Mary Lou Evans Ellett. She was a homemaker and a Methodist. For over 60 years she was a member of Galloway United Methodist Church. Her favorite service was working with young children and youth. Also close to her heart was her Sunday School Class, the Loyal Workers and the United Methodist Woman. In recent years she attended the worship services at Cordova Presbyterian Church and appreciated the Christian love and friendship of the minister and congregation. During her last five years she lived with her daughter and son-in-law in Swainsboro, GA. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Howard Ashworth; two daughters, Sara Qualls and Linda Barton.

One Daughter: Mary Kalmanson (Neil) of Swainsboro, GA
Seven Grandchildren
Numerous Great-Grandchildren and extended family.
