Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Ms. Vickie Lynn Carter, age 57, of Adrian, GA, on Monday, August 29, 2022, at her residence.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, August 31, 2022, at 2:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Tim Price officiating.

Interment will follow in the Lambs Cemetery near Kite. GA

The family will receive friends Tuesday evening, August 30, 2022, from 6-8 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel.

Pallbearers are Mike Henry, John Ware, Mitchell Moore, Thomas Carter, Pierre Miles, and Keith Wright.

Honorary Escorts will be Ronnie Wilkes, Teresa Moore, Jennifer Foxworth, Rhonda Foskey, Michelle Garnto, Rona Nasworthy, Cindy Bailey, Pam Wright and Kimberly Jo Webb.

Ms. Carter, “Vickie” was born December 14, 1964 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to James Carlos “Buddy” Carter and Celestine Moore Carter.  She was a 1982 graduate of Adrian High School and attended Swainsboro Technical College for accounting. Vickie was previously employed with Forstman; New Holland; and most recently, with the Department of Drivers Services (DDS) in Dublin, GA. Near and dear to her heart was making gift baskets and  assisting her family with the Norristown Community Haunted Trail which they did for 35 years. She attended New Beginnings Church and was preceded in death by her father.

Her Mother: Celestine Moore Carter of Adrian, GA

Brother: Ricky Carter (Sheila) of Vidalia, GA

Aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.
