Tochie Fields Obituary

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of  Mrs. Tochie Fields, age 78, of Swainsboro, GA, on Friday, February 28, 2020, at Emanuel Medical Center.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 1, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating.

Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Pallbearers are: Tommy Freeman, Craig McNeely, Drone Hudson, Jr., Cameron Bishop, Freddy Mason, and Clark Morris.

Mrs. Fields was born February 22, 1942 in Nunez, Emanuel County, GA to the late Kathryn Smith and Rufus Moore, Jr. She worked previously as a house parent at Ogeechee Mental Health. She was a member of Hawhammock Missionary Baptist Church. Mrs. Fields loved animals, floral decorations, and fishing. She was a caretaker to the core. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Caldwell, her brothers, James “Rock” Moore, Larry Moore, and Rufus “Brother” Moore.

Survivors Include:

Her Husband of 28 Years: Thomas Edward “Tommy” Fields of Swainsboro, GA

Her Daughter: Michelle Bishop Ivey (Joel) of Charlotte, NC

Her Son: Baron Bishop of Augusta, GA

Her Brother: Steven Keith Moore of Swainsboro, GA

Her Step-Daughter: Tracy Fields Mason (Cliff) of Swainsboro, GA

Her Grandchildren: Stormy Evans (Richard), Brandi Bishop, Cameron Bishop, Kayla Matzke, Meagan Bishop, Karsyn Lee Ivey, and Tripp Ivey.

Her Step-Grandchildren: Caroline Mason and Ethan Mason

Eight Great-Grandchildren

Numerous Nieces, Nephews, and Extended Family

Special Friend: Bobby Ray Bishop of Swainsboro, GA

We were blessed for 78 years with the most Godly and Faithful servant! We know the Angels are rejoicing as she enters the gates of Heaven.
