Sybil Amerson Lamb

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Sybil Amerson Lamb, age 98, of Swainsboro, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, May 25, 2019.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 28, 2019, at 2:00 PM, in Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Unkles officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12:00 PM until time of service.

Interment will be in Swainsboro City Cemetery.

Pallbearers are:  Nathan Lamb, Brent Hudson, Jamey Watson, Jake Hudson, and Brock Lamb.

Mrs. Lamb was born May 1, 1921, in Stillmore, Emanuel County, GA to the late Frank and Cassie  Amerson.  She was a homemaker and worked at Dolores & Woody’s Shops for 20 plus years, in the Children’s Department and Fabric Department.  Mrs. Lamb was a fantastic cook; loved sewing; yard work; needlecrafts; reading; and spending precious times with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She was a charter member of Swainsboro First United Methodist Church in their first building and also in their present building.  Her faith and love for the church was an inspiration to everyone who knew her.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life, George Ray Lamb; two sisters, Martha Amerson Curl and Inez Amerson Cooler.

Survivors include:

Two Sons:  Danny Lamb (Betty Jo) of Tampa, FL and Terry Lamb (Tanya) of Swainsboro, GA   One Daughter:  Gay Lamb Moore (Franklin) of Perry, GA

Five Grandchildren:  Nathan Lamb (Robyn); Melanie Moore Watson (Jamey); Alison Lamb Hudson (Brent); Kristi Lamb Fedorenko (Coe) and Teresa Lamb.

10 Great-Grandchildren:  Kaylan, Brock, and Brelan Lamb, Jake and Anna Hudson, Ella, Campbell and Sadie Beth Watson, Alyssa Lamb and C. J. Fedorenko.
