Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Susie P. Cubitt, age 77, of Adrian, GA. on Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at her residence.

Susie worked for many years as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Broughton Hospital in Morganton, North Carolina where she retired. She loved to read and bird watch. Her Fur Baby “Kasey” was her other daughter and she loved her cat “Mittens”. The family wishes to express appreciation to PruittHealth Hospice Swainsboro for the care provided. Susie was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Washington Poore; mother, Mary Pauline Maynard; and sister, Joyce Michaels.

Survivors include:

Daughters: Alisha Pullen (Dennis) of Adrian, GA, Windy Powell (Darrell) of Morganton, NC, Kandi Butler (Bryan) of Valdese NC, and Sandi Cubitt of Durham NC.

Sister: Karen Bridges (Hugh) of Morganton, NC.

10 Grandchildren.

12 Great-Grandchildren.
