Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Stephen L. Sapp, Jr., age 46 of Vail, Iowa, on Monday, January 1, 2018.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. John David Durden and Rev. Pat Dye officiating.

Interment will follow at 2:00 PM in the Burke Memorial Gardens, Waynesboro, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday, January 8, 2017 from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are  Jeffrey Hooks, Jamie Mangham, Bo Newsome, Danny Wilkerson, Eric Herrington and Tommy Woods.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Barney Marsh and Shebbie Marsh.

Mr. Sapp was born on October 13, 1971 in Swainsboro, GA.  He was a Steel Worker and of the Christian Faith.  He was preceded in death by his father, Steven L. Sapp, Sr.; his Grandparents, Lester and Mary Sapp; and his Uncle, Lyndsey “Skipper” Sapp.

Survivors are:

Three Daughters:  Stephanie Sapp, Nicole Sapp both of Swainsboro, GA and Scarlett Sapp of Twin City, GA

Two Sons:  Christopher Hooks (Samantha) of Dellwood, GA and Jace Allan Sapp of Vail, Iowa.

His Aunt:  Lynda Bishop of Midville, GA

His Mother:  Betty Godbee Brooks of Atlanta, GA

Two Brothers:  Cleveland Gobert of Atlanta, GA and Casey Taylor of Waynesboro, GA

Four Grandchildren:  Gavyn Owens, Elijah Sapp, Payton Hooks and Paisley Dixon.
