Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Sammy Jordan Brown, age 70, of Summertown, GA on Friday, July 23, 2021, at the Emanuel Medical Center.
Funeral services will be Monday, July 26, 2021, at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Bedgood officiating.
Interment will follow in the Summertown Cemetery with Rev. Brad McKenzie officiating.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening at the funeral home from 6-8PM.
Pallbearers are Manuel Hernandez, Dennis Kirkland, John Freeman Jr., Roy Beneteau, Austin Fultz, and Curtis Smith.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Larry Bell, Joe Grimm, Brad Grimm, Tracy Hooks, Joey Kirkland, and Tad Roberson.
Mr. Brown was born October 24, 1950, to the late Fred Brown and Fairie Mae Screws Way, in Louisville, GA, was a tree surgeon and retired from BTS & Son. He loved the outdoors, fishing, gardening, spending time with family and watching softball. Mr. Brown was a member of the Summertown Baptist Church; and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by his grandson, Randy Farrow Jr.; and great-grandchildren, Nathan Carson Braddy, Elizabeth Carson Braddy, Lydia Elaine Farrow, and Christopher McCoy.

Daughters: Angie Farrow (Randy) of Midville, GA and Belinda Davis (Wayne) of Swainsboro, GA
Son: Timothy Brown (Chelsea) of Midville, GA
Sisters: Martha Smith (Jimmy), and Gail Bishop all of Wadley, GA, Harriett Powell (Othro Lee) of Dublin, GA and Susie Burke (Ricky) of Blundale, GA.
Grandchildren: Lori Smith (Matt), Christy Hernandez (Manuel), Wade Farrow (Allayna), Cody Farrow (Shala), Heather Hudson (David), April Lairsey (Michael), Sam Jones, Brooklynn Brown and T. J. Brown.
21 Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
