Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Rowland Williams, age 76, of Swainsboro, GA, on Tuesday, August 11, 2020, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Williams Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Lamar Kersey officiating.
Interment will follow in the Williams Chapel Baptist Church Cemetery near Kite, GA
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.
Social distancing guidelines will apply and will limit the number of visitors in the building at any given time.
Pallbearers are Mike Foster, Mark Foster, Mitch Foster, Bennie Williams, Tim Hutcheson and Amanuel Claxton.
Mr. Williams was born May 22, 1944 in Kite, Emanuel County, GA to the late Warren and Oca Rowland Williams. He was retired Superintendent from W. M Foster Development Co. During his retirement it was all about spending time with family and especially with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren under foot, whether he was working on his old cars or tractors or just enjoying a good family get-together. He will be greatly missed by Oscar, his beloved cat. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by brothers, Elton Williams, Lamar Williams, Sheryl Williams and grandson, T. J. Williams Jr.

Daughter: Pam Williams Claxton and Sandy Williams both of Kite, GA
Sons: Gary Williams (Sue Ann) of Lenior City, TN and Tommy Williams Sr. of Kite, GA
Sisters: Edith Pundt (Joe) of Wadley,GA and Lynette Watson (Don) of Macon, GA
Brothers: Jerome Williams of Claxton, GA, Glenn Williams (Grace) of Kite, GA, and Woody Williams of Macon, GA
Grandchildren: James Williams, Stephanie Jean (Jason), Matthew “Matt” Williams (Laura), Jessica Williams (Ron), Hannah Claxton, Walker Williams, Kasie Buchholz (Thomas), and Matthew Brown
Great-Grandchildren: Caleb Berry, “Lil” Will Boatright, Ty Boatright, Zade Boatright, Blake Williams, Cody Wommack, Anne Rae Williams, Levi Williams, Wesley Claxton, Payton Buchhol.
