Bob was born on August 21, 1944, in Savannah. Despite a birth trauma, he graduated from Savannah High School and worked at various jobs in the Savannah area. His main happiness was found at his maternal grandmother's house in Garfield. He is a member of the Christ Memorial Baptist Church in Savannah where he made many friends. Bob was a devoted and loving son. He cared for his parents until their deaths in the early 2000's. He lived his last years in the Savannah area where he helped others in need.
Bob loved books and visiting the Savannah Public Library. Following his thirst for knowledge, he explored many different subjects. He had a "gung-ho" attitude and was willing to try many different things. Loving to travel, he drove across the country once and visited family in all corners of the country.
The family would like to thank the Howards and the Smalls for their incredible friendship and devotion to Bob. They greatly improved his quality of life, before and after his illness. He also valued his friendships with Robert Smith and Ross Harrison. Dr. John Odom was instrumental in Bob surviving as long as he did and Hospice of Savannah treated him with the highest degree of caring.
