Durden Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Robert Wayne Gulledge, age 70, of Swainsboro, Georgia on Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at Augusta University Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, August 2, 2024 at 2:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Reverend David Oliver officiating.

Visitation will be Thursday evening from 6-8:00 PM at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors. 

Burial will be in the Bithynia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are Josh Robertson, Tim Harrell, Tyler Dawkins, Will Rogers, Joe Farmer and Robert McKenzie.

Honorary Pallbearers will be The Employees of Fulghum Industries.

Born in Alabama to William R. and Margueritte Childs Gulledge, Wayne was a lifelong resident of Swainsboro. He attended Swainsboro High School and was an inventory Control Supervisor at Fulghum Industries. Wayne loved to work, but he also enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved his job and his family. Wayne was preceded in death by his parents, and his wife, Mary Ruth McKenzie Gulledge.

Survivors Include:

Daughter: Melissa Gulledge (Jeff) of Swainsboro.

Grandaughter: Jenna Farmer.
