Robert Corbin, Sr. Obituary
Martinez, GA – Entered into rest on Tuesday, August 4, 2020, Robert Edward Corbin, Sr., 87, husband of almost 65 years to Geraldine Staton Corbin.
Robert was a member of Grace Baptist Church and the 32nd Degree Mason. He worked for Home Beneficial Life Insurance Company where he retired as a District Manager and part-time as a butcher for Safeway, which supplemented his income. Robert was passionate about cars, had a deep faith in God and adored his family.
Family members, in addition to his wife, include his daughter: Teresa Corbin Smith (George); sons: Robert E. Corbin, Jr. (Peggy), Jeffery Alan Corbin (Rose); brother: Joseph B. Corbin (Nancy); sisters: Mary Jenkins and Dorothy Dillard (Jimmy); grandchildren: Devon Rhyner (BJ), Zachary Wohlman, Kelsey Tolomeo (Anthony), Joshua Corbin, Amy Vaught (Justin), Andrew Corbin, Spencer Corbin and Glory Bright; great-grandchildren: Jackson Rhyner, Lauren Rhyner and Harper Tolomeo and sister-in-law: Evelyn Corbin. He was predeceased by his parents: Robert Hilton and Nellie Hawkins Corbin; brother: William C. Corbin; and sister: Helen Virginia Gore (Alvin); brother-in-law: Ivan Jenkins and sister-in-law: Ellen Corbin.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Thomas Poteet & Son, with Rev. Bill Hilley officiating.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Grace Baptist Church Music Department, 4945 Hardy McManus Rd, Evans, GA 30809.
