Ray “Sonny” Morris Scott, Jr. passed away on July 16, 2018. Funeral services will be held at First Baptist Church of Christ in Macon on Friday, July 20, 2018 at 11:00 AM with Reverend Scott Dickison and Reverend Romelle Jones officiating. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow the service at 3:30 PM at Swainsboro City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to First Baptist Church of Christ: 511 High Place, Macon, GA 31201; Pine Pointe Hospice: 6261 Peake Road, Macon, GA 31210; or charity of donor’s choice.
Ray lived in Macon for 20 years and Gray for 20 years. He was married to Lynn Scott for 53 years and grew up in Swainsboro, Georgia. Ray worked for Delta, Scott’s IGA, Snap-On Tools, and Newton-Halo. He enjoyed spending time with family. Ray was preceded in death by his parents, Ray Scott, Sr. and Eunice Scott.
Ray is survived by his wife, Lynn Scott; sons: Ray Scott, III (Saran) of Fort Mill, South Carolina, Mike Scott (Julie) of Musella, Georgia, Billy Scott (Anna) of Macon, Georgia, Andy Scott (Heather) of Newnan, Georgia; grandchildren: Brandy (Justin) Smith, Cheyanne (Levi) Branch, Jeffrey, James, Joshua, Reese, Thomas, and Molly Scott; and 2 greatgrandchildren, Karter and James.
