Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Ray Curtis Taylor Jr., age 63 of Swainsboro, on Monday, April 23, 2018.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. David Unkles officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in the Swainsboro City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Sapp, James Williams, Joe Farmer, Vince Jackson, Gary Hodges and Marty Canady.
Mr. Taylor was born May 4, 1954, in Dublin, Laurens County, GA. After retiring from the US Air Force with 20 years service, he graduated from the University of North Alabama with a 4 yr degree in Physics. Mr. Taylor was an instructor at Southeastern Technical College formerly (Swainsboro Technical College) from 1997-2000 and retired a second time from the Civil Service, as Project Manager over the Simulator, at the Warner Robins Air Force Base. He was a member of the Swainsboro First United Methodist Church and in his spare time enjoyed fishing. Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his father, Ray Curtis Taylor Sr.; brother, Cliff Taylor and step-father, Dale Campbell.

One Son: Ray C. Taylor III (Christy) of North Alabama
Step-Son: Mike Whitehead (April) of Twin City, GA
One Sister: Nancy Young (Tim) of Ivey, GA
Nine Grandchildren, One Great-Grandchild, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and Extended Family.
