Ray Edward Farrow

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of  Mr. Ray Edward Farrow, age 85, of Summertown, GA, on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at his residence.

Graveside Services will be held on Sunday, August 25, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Long Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Funeral Home on  Sunday, August 25, 2019 from 12:30 to 1:30 PM.

Pallbearers are Mike Ray, Wes Bishop, Wade Farrow, Cody Farrow, Dave Sherman and Brock Farrow.

Mr. Farrow was born February 14, 1934 in Summertown, Emanuel County, GA to the late Eugene and Mattie Lou Nasworthy Farrow and was employed by the DOT (Department of Transportation) for 34 years as a Surveyor Engineer.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing and most of all spending time with his beloved family.  He was a member of Long Creek  Primitive Baptist Church and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years Sara Frances Oglesby Farrow; sister, Geraldine Allcott; brother, Wallace Farrow; grandson, Randy Farrow Jr.; great-granddaughter, Lydia Farrow.

Survivors Include:

Two Daughters: Linda Ray (Don) of Swainsboro, GA and Teresa Bishop (Richard) of Pembroke, GA.

One Son: Randy Farrow (Angie) of Summertown, GA

Eight Grandchildren: Mike Ray, Wes Bishop, Chrissy Sherman, Lori Smith, Christy Hernandez, Wade Farrow, Cody Farrow and Taylor Bishop.

Seventeen Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and extended family.
