Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Peggy A. Anderson, age 85, of Twin City, Emanuel County, GA on Monday, March 23, 2020 at Pruitt Health in Swainsboro, GA
Private Graveside services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Eastbrook Cemetery with Rev. Randall Smith officiating.
There will be Celebration Of Life Service for all family and friends, at a later date, to be decided.
Honorary Escorts will be Steve Durden, Tim Durden, Toby Durden, Johnny Johnson, Chuck Wimberly, Russell Johnson, Jessie Johnson, Mike Fulford, Steven Andrews, Craig Warren, Richard Boatright, and Kevin Boatright.
Mrs. Anderson was born January 15, 1935 in Summit, Emanuel County, GA to the late John J. and Ella Parham Andrews and was a graduate of ECI (Emanuel County Institute). She retired from Emanuel County School Service after many years as Lunchroom Manager of the Twin City Primary School. Mrs. Anderson was a member of the Twin City United Methodist Church, UMW, and sang in the choir. She was an avid fan of the ECI Bulldogs, and shoe shopping at Belk’s was one of her favorite pastimes. All joking aside she was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husbands; Richard I. Anderson and Bobby T. Wimberly
Survivors include:
Daughter: Dowanna Whitfield (Colin) of Myrtle Beach, SC.
Son: Tal Wimberly (Holly) of Twin City, GA.
Sister: Johnnie Fulford of Twin City, GA.
Brother: Eddie Andrews (Betty Jean) of Swainsboro, GA and Ben Andrews of Chattanooga, TN.
Eight Grandchildren: Jessica Beddingfield (Eric), Bryson Shepard (Danny), Seth Greenway, Sean Whitfield (Melanie), Benjamin Whitfield, Tyler Whitfield, Dain Overstreet (Bonnie) and Dakota Moss.
Nine Great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
