Patricia J (Johnson) Mincey

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Patricia J. Mincey, age 73, of Garfield, GA, on Monday, November 12, 2018, at her residence.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 14, 2018, at 11:00 AM in the Garfield United Methodist Church with Rev. John Woodcock Sr. and Rev. Brian Price  officiating.

The family will receive friends Wednesday morning at the church from 10:00 AM till time of service.

Interment will follow in the Hebron Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Garfield, GA

Pallbearers are: Jerry Johnson, Tom Harvill, Craig Griffin, Jay Elmore, Jimmy Phillips and Jerry Wilcher.

Mrs. Mincey was born February 7, 1945 in Millen, Jenkins County, GA to Rebie Gay Johnson and the late Fern A. Johnson Sr. , was a graduate ECI (Emanuel County Institute) and received her Bachelors in Education Degree from Georgia Southern University.  She retired after 31 years with the Jenkins County Elementary School where she taught third and fourth grade.  Mrs. Mincey was a member of the Millen Garden Club, loved flower gardening, bible study, and cooking for family and friends.  She was a member of the Garfield United Methodist Church and in addition to her father was preceded in death by her brother Fern A. Johnson Jr.

Her Mother: Rebie Gay Johnson of Garfield, GA

One Daughter: Michelle M. Wiggins (Scott) of Millen, GA

One Sister: Miriam J. Davison (Art) of Augusta, GA

Two Brothers: Perry "Mitchell" Johnson (Beverly) and Richard M. Johnson (Jackie) all of Millen, GA

One Beloved Grandson: Kendall L. Wiggins of Millen, GA
