Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Myrtice Daniels Kersey, age 88, of Swainsboro, GA, on September 18, 2022, at Pruitt Health.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, September 20, 2022, at 3:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Phil Wilson officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eastbrook Cemetery.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service on September 20, 2022, from 2:00-3:00 PM at the funeral home.
Pallbearers are Sammy Howard Page, Brian Adam Page, Cody Austin Kersey, Blake Roberts, Bradley Roberts and Mason Johns.
Mrs. Myrtice was born December 24, 1933, in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA, to the late Leonard Daniels and Claudia McNeal Daniels. She was employed many years with Swainsboro Sportswear, was a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Mrs. Myrtice was a member of Swainsboro First Baptist Church and in addition to her parent she was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Howard Kersey; daughter, Denise Kersey Roberts and brother, Kenneth Daniels.
Daughter: Vickie Kersey Page (Sammy) of Warner Robins, GA
Sons: Jerry Howard Kersey (Cindy) of Swainsboro, GA
Son-In-Law: Harris Roberts of Warner Robins, GA
Grandchildren: Sammy Howard Page, Brian Adam Page, Jerry Chase Kersey, Cody Austin Kersey, Blake Roberts, Bradley Roberts and Heather Roberts.
Great-Grandchildren: Brittney Page, Logan Page, Caden Page, Jacob Toler, Asher Roberts, Peyton Roberts, and Jude Charles Kersey.
