Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Mary E. Kottong, age 86, of Swainsboro, GA, on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at Emanuel Medical Center, Swainsboro, GA.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 3:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel.
Interment will follow in the Eastbrook Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Phillip Riner, Brian Holden, Derek Webb and Zachary McBroom, Ben Flanders and Danny Holden.
Mrs. Kottong was born July 10, 1934, in Rockland, TX, the daughter of the late Charlie and Ellen Ross Abbott. She was a graduate of Rockland High School, and retired after 20 years with Argo Mills in Swainsboro. Mrs. Kottong was co/owner of the Lolly Pop Day Care, a home maker and enjoyed bowling and playing cards. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Lee “Pete” Kottong; daughter, Sherry Turner; and 6 siblings.
Survivors Include:
Son: Jimmy Davis of Swainsboro, GA
Grandson: Trent Turner
One Great-Grandchild.
