Martha Nell (Akridge) Beasley

Durden- Hudson Funeral Directors announces the passing of Mrs. Martha Nell Akridge Beasley, age 82, of Swainsboro, GA on Sunday, November, 14, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her precious family.

Memorial services will be Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 3:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rusty Moore officiating.

Interment will follow in the Eastbrook Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends and family, at the funeral home, one hour prior to the service from 2:00 – 3:00 PM.

Mrs. Martha Nell was born June 4, 1939, in Swainsboro, GA to the late Jim and Trudie Stapleton Akridge and was a Graduate of Stillmore High School.  She retired from Creston Knitting Mills, and was an avid homemaker.  Mrs. Martha Nell loved her family deeply and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her family was her greatest joy.  She was a lifelong member of Mt. Shady Baptist Church and in addition to her parents, was preceded in death by sisters, Leona Jones, Annie Marsh, and Katie Canady; and brothers, James Akridge, M. D. Akridge and Alvie Akridge.

Her Husband of 62 years: William Dent Beasley of Swainsboro, GA

Daughter: Melinda B. Brown (Gary) of Jacksonville, FL

Son: Mike Beasley (Debra) of Swainsboro, GA

Sister: Jean Henry (Colon) of Swainsboro, GA.

Brothers: Ralph Akridge of Swainsboro, GA and Elzie Akridge of Dellwood, GA

Grandchildren: Wesley Beasley (Krislyn), Kealia Wilcher (Craig), Mason Brown (Maura), Denton Kade Beasley.

Great-Grandchildren: Anna Kate Beasley, John Wright Beasley, Wills Beasley, Gaige Wilcher, Michael Wilcher, Remington Wilcher and Mala Brown.

Nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
