Margueritte (Childs) Gulledge

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Margueritte Childs Gulledge, age 85 of Swainsboro, GA on Tuesday, August 18, 2020 at Pruitt Health in Swainsboro, GA.

Graveside services will be Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 11:00 AM in the Hawhammock Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Louis Pearce officiating.

The family will receive friends on Thursday morning from 10:00 AM at the funeral home till time of service, CDC social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are encouraged for your safety and others.

Mrs. Gulledge was born October 15, 1934 to the late John and Timpie Lee Hilburn Childs in Brundidge, AL. She was previously employed by Creston Knitting Mills, Swainsboro Sportswear and retired as an inspector from Ithaca Industries.  Mrs. Gulledge enjoyed sewing, flower gardening, quilting, crocheting and was of the Baptist faith. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Gulledge; daughter, Betty Gulledge and 8 siblings.

Daughter: Wanda Wimberly of Dublin, GA

Granddaughter: Melissa Gulledge (Jeff) of Swainsboro, GA

Great-Granddaughter: Jenna Farmer and extended family.
