Lynda Nell (Cooper) Smith

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Ms. Lynda Nell Cooper Smith, age 66, of Kite, GA, on Saturday, June 16, 2018 after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, June 19, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Bert Flanders officiating assisted by Rev. Lamar Kersey.

Interment will follow in the Kersey Family Cemetery near Kite, GA

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday evening from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are Keith Hanson, Rock Hooks, Jorge Velazquez,John Blount, Tommy Williams, and Jeremy Rowland.

Ms. Smith was born December 26, 1951, along with her twin sister, in Sandersville, GA to the late Mary T. Cooper.  She was retired from Thermo King, loved fishing, yard selling with her twin Glynda and spending time with her special babies, Jada, Charlee, and Eli.   Her children and grand children were the love of her life and she never missed an opportunity to tell them she loved them.  Ms. Smith was a member of the Spring Hill Baptist Church and in addition to her mother was preceded in death by her sister, Cheryl Lamb; grandson, T. J. Williams; and nephew, Cade Lamb.

Survivors include:

Twin Sister: Glynda Hooks (Alton) of Kite, GA

Three Daughters: Titia Blount, Tara Blount and Tressi Usry all of Kite, GA

One Son: Chaughn Smith of Wrightsville, GA

One Step Daughter: Barbara Blackmon of Sandersville, GA

Four Grandchildren: K-Lee Blount, Allyssa Smith, Tiara Blount, and Amber Smith.

Four Great-Grandchildren: Kamdyn Channell, Levi Williams, Major Spikes, and Luna Velazquez.

Two Step-Grandsons: Corey Blackmon and Rob Williams.

Two Nieces: Tera Claxton and Carla Lamb of Kite, GA

One Nephew: Rock Hooks of Kite, GA and extended family.
