Lula Bell (Kersey) Scarboro

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Lula Bell Scarboro, age 83,

of  Kite, GA, on Thursday, March 29, 2018.

Funeral  services will be held on Monday, April 2, 2018, at 11:00 AM, in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Joe Bedgood officiating. 

The family will receive friends on Saturday evening, March 31, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00PM at the Funeral Home.

Interment will be in Lamb Cemetery.

Pallbearers are:

Grandsons:  Chuck Hendrix, Chase Marsh, James Marsh, Rick Marsh, Blake Marsh, Tommy Faircloth, Edmond Marsh, Jr.,  Billy Marsh, Jr. and Dusty Calhoun.

Mrs. Scarboro was born November 3, 1934 in Lyons, Toombs County, GA, to the late Mitchel and Maggie Birdie Blaxton Kersey.   She was a Homemaker, loved cooking for her family, loved her flowers and enjoyed fishing.  She was a member of the Kite Church Of God.   Mrs. Scarboro was preceded in death by her Parents; three daughters, Carol Watts, Cheryl Brown and Eddie Dean Marsh; one son, Edward “Pig” Marsh; three Sisters and three Brothers.

Survivors include:

Three Daughters:  Joan M. Akridge (Lewis) of Stillmore, GA, Celeste Marsh and Crystal Marsh (Earl) both of Kite, GA

Seven Sons:  David Marsh (Janena) of Oak Park, GA; Edmond Marsh, Kelvin Marsh (Stacie) all of Kite, GA; Ray Marsh (Lori) of Middleburg, FL; Dennis Marsh of Satsuma, FL; James “Buddy” Marsh of Canoochee, GA and Thomas Marsh (Rhonda) of Broadus, Montana.

One Sister:  Mary Groover of Reidsville, GA

Two Brothers:  Mickey Kersey of Reidsville, GA and Elton Kersey (Wanda) of Lyons, GA

34 Grandchildren and a number of Great and Great-Great Grandchildren
