Linda (Hudson) Flanders

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Ms. Linda Hudson Flanders, age 73, of Swainsboro, GA, on Wednesday, September 7, 2022, at her residence.

Funeral services will be Saturday, September 10, 2022, at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Rusty Moore and Rev. Jim Harrell officiating.

Interment will follow in the Union Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday, September 9, 2022, from 6-8 PM at the funeral home.

Pallbearers are Russ Harrell, Mason Manning, Levi Manning, Brent Hudson, Hunter Moore, Justin Strickland and Joel Harrison.

Ms. Flanders, Linda was born January, 24, 1949, in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Oliver Gilbert “Junior” Hudson, Jr. and Sara Riner Hudson Claxton.  She was previously employed with Emanuel Medical Center in the Customer Service Department. Linda was a loving devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, who enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a selfless dedication for helping others; volunteering at many shelters and churches.  Reading and listening to gospel music was how she enjoyed spending any spare moment. She was a member of Emanuel Christian Ministries and in addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Oliver Hudson.

Survivors Include

Daughters: Dina Stubbs (Joe) of Tacoma WA, Tina Riley (Rick) of Seattle, WA.

Son: Bryan Scott Flanders (Rheannon) of Orange Park, FL.

Sisters: Judy H. Moore (Russell), Barbara H. Strickland (Allan) and Jessie Garrett (Donnie) all of Swainsboro, GA.

Sister-In-Law: Diane Hall (Larry) of Swainsboro, GA.

Step-Brother: Lewis Claxton of Swainsboro, GA.

Daughter of Love: Karen Flanders of Zephyrhills, FL.

Six Grandchildren, Five Great-Grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.

In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contribution be made to the Union Primitive Baptist Church, Cemetery Fund, 114 Frances Ave, Swainsboro, GA 30401.
