Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Lillian Blizzard, age 84, of Swainsboro, GA, on Thursday, November 26, 2020, at Pruitt Health of Swainsboro.
Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 PM at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum, Sunday, November 29, 2020 with Rev. Dr. Bob Blankenship officiating.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:30 PM at Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors.
CDC social distancing guidelines will be observed and masks are required for your safety and the health and well being of others.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Bohannon, Ryan Johnson, Lloyd Gulledge and Kevin Canady.
Born in Troy Alabama, Lillian was the daughter of the late William L. and Willie P. Emerson Gulledge. After moving to Swainsboro, Lillian worked at and retired from Swainsboro Sportswear. She was a very talented seamstress. She was a member of The First Baptist Church of Swainsboro. She loved her flowers, plants and dogs; and dancing was her passion. Her grandchildren were her favorite hobby. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Dan Blizzard; a sister, Jeanette Gulledge Williamson; four brothers, William Gulledge, Hilton Gulledge, Don Gulledge and Dorman Gulledge.
Survivors Include:
Son: Bobby Rogers (Kathy) of Midway, GA.
Daughters: Diane R. Rollins (Brad) of Evans, GA and Angie R. Connell (Doug) of Savannah, GA.
Sisters: Annell Gulledge Canady of Martinez, Ga. and Glenda Coleman of Baxley, GA
Grandchildren: Matthew Rogers, Brandy Rollins, Paige Lyle, Mackenzie Bohannon, Rachel Connell, Haley Rollins and Morgan Connell
Great Grandchildren: Ethan, Emma and Henry.
Numerous Nieces, nephews, and extended family.
