Laura Elizabeth (Baggett) Bedgood

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of  Mrs. Laura Elizabeth Baggett Bedgood, age 92, of Swainsboro, GA, formerly of Midville, GA, on Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at Emanuel Medical Center Nursing Home.

Graveside Services will be held on Friday, October 18, 2019 at 3 PM in Long Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. John Durden officiating.

Mrs. Bedgood was born February 1, 1927 in Summertown, Emanuel County, GA to the late Walter Sr. and Cornelius Elizabeth Nasworthy Baggett. She served as a school teacher for 30 plus years with the Burke County Board of Education. She was a long time member of Midville Baptist Church. Mrs. Bedgood was a seamstress and enjoyed sewing as well as gardening, flowers, and animals. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Carlton W. Bedgood, two sons, Randy A. Hodges and Wesley L. Hodges, and one brother, Walter Baggett Jr.

Survivors Include:

Two Daughters: Linda Sconyers of Midville, GA and Judi Boatright of Swainsboro, GA

Nine Grandchildren: Lisa Hood (Randy), Rhonda Ronco (Kevin), Shannon Brown, Robyn Lamb (Nathan), Peter Shaw (Erin), Adrian Shaw (Tonya), Chelsea Manning (Matt), Lindsey Eubanks (Daniel), and Skye Leveritt (Daniel).
