Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of  Mr. Kenneth Albert Scott, age 74, of Twin City, GA, on Tuesday, August 6, 2019, at University Hospital in Augusta, GA.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 9, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Phil Wilson officiating.

Interment will follow in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.

Pallbearers are  Reecie Scott, Kenton Scott, Johnny Scott, Jimmy Hendrix, Jason Grimes and Larry Purcell.

Mr. Scott was born in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Reecie and Mary Lou Kersey Scott. He was a 1964 ECI (Emanuel County Institute) graduate, was an expediter for Thermo King for many years and was a farmer.  Mr. Scott loved spending time with his family, gardening, and was an avid outdoorsman.  To this day he has several Boone & Crocket Scoring Bucks listed in the Emanuel County Top Ten Best Bucks in the Georgia Outdoor News. He attended Antioch Primitive Baptist Church and in addition to his parents was preceded in death by his brother Wayne Scott.

Survivors include:

His Wife of 53 years: Judy Hendrix Scott of Twin City, GA

Two Sons: Ken Scott (Alisa) and Denny Scott (Gail) all of Twin City, GA

Two Sisters: Libby Boatright (Al) of Tampa, FL and Carolyn Rogers of Augusta, GA

One Brother: Gerald Scott (Joyce) of Twin City, GA

Sister-In-Law: Leona Scott of Twin City, GA

Four Grandchildren: Lacey Webb, Reecie Scott (Katie), Kenton Scott and Alaina Scott.

One Great-Grandchild: Lilly Kate Scott, nieces, nephews and extended family.
