Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Johnny Walker Turner, Sr., 83, of Bloomingdale, Georgia, August 5, 2024, peacefully after a short illness.
A memorial graveside service will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2024 at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery.
Johnny was born in Portal Georgia to James Earl and Maybell Henley Turner and later moved to Savannah. Johnny worked for Hussey Gay Bell Land Surveying Company and retired after 45 years of service. He was known as a jokester and enjoyed telling jokes. Johnny was never more at home than when he was fishing. He loved the Georgia Bulldogs and the Atlanta Braves. Rebel his dog was his life and he will miss him greatly. Johnny was a special Dad, Grand Dad and Great-Grand Dad. He was so loved and will be greatly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents, his brothers and a granddaughter, Crystal Kay.
Johnny is survived by:
Children: Denise Shuman, Johnny “J.T.” Walker Turner, Jr. and Sheri Turner.
Grandchildren: Christina, Alicia, Eddie, Richard, Tyler, Casey, Brittany, Sam and Ben.
Sister: Myrtice Earlene Turner Underwood.
Son-In-Law: Curtis Shuman.
Daughter-In-Law: Cathy Turner.
Many Great-Grandchildren.
Many Nieces and Nephews.
