Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Jeanette Turner, age 83, of Canoochee, GA, on Monday, August 26, 2019, at Emanuel Medical Center.
Funeral services will be Thursday, August 29, 2019 at 4:00 PM in the Canoochee Missionary Baptist Church with Rev. Mark Wiggins officiating assisted by Rev. Mark Sweat.
Interment will follow in the Antioch Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening from 7-9 PM.
Pallbearers are Clint Turner, Chad Turner, Nathan Turner, James Clay, Evan Clay and Tim Johnson.
Mrs. Turner was born March 15, 1936 in Stillmore, Emanuel County, GA to the late Willie Sam and Mattie Sumner Newman. She was a seamstress for Creston Knitting Mills and a homemaker, was a wonderful cook, enjoyed canning and flower gardening. Mrs. Turner was a member of the Canoochee Missionary Baptist Church and in addition to her parents was preceded in death by her sons, Edward Turner, James Ray Turner; two great grandchildren and seven siblings.

Her Husband of 65 years: Johnson Turner of Canoochee, GA
Two Daughters: Connie Turner Ferguson (Richard) of Bluffton, SC and Suzette Clay (Neil) of Canoochee, GA
Two Sons: Ronnie Turner (Connie) and Kelvin Turner (Michele) all of Canoochee, GA
One Sister: Ruby Johnson (Roger) of Midville, GA
One Brother: Raymond Newman (Linda) of Norristown, GA
Nine Grandchildren: Jennifer Rae Omerovic (Muamer), Allison Ferguson, Clint Turner (Natalie), Chad Turner (Marlee), Nathan Turner, Natalie Rollins (Dylan), Olivia Turner, James Clay (Katie), and Evan Clay
Six Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extended family.
