Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. James "Harmon" Norris Sr., age 75, of Swainsboro, GA on Thursday, October 25, 2018.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 28, 2018 at 3:00 PM in the Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church in Kite, GA with Rev. Calvin Leavitt officiating.
Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery with Rev. Ray Jenkins officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Church on Sunday from 1:30 till time of service.
Pallbearers are nephews: Brad Stevens, Rob Johnson, Tommy Veal, Edmond Strickland, Rusty Branson, Stuart Strickland, Bryan Cooper, Chad Burkhalter, Brandon Page.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the Deacons of Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church.
Mr. Norris was born December 14, 1942 to the late William Estille and Maybelle Brantley Norris in Kite, Johnson County, GA and was a graduate of Kite High School. Before retirement he was a District Manager for Independent Life Insurance Company for many years and was a member and deacon of Minton Chapel Advent Christian Church in Kite, GA. He enjoyed spending time with friends and family and was an avid auction and farm sale attendee.

One Son: James H. Norris Jr. (Tori) of Swainsboro, GA
One Sister: Marvye Norris Woods (Albert) of Macon, GA
One Brother: William "Pete" Norris (Judy) of Gray, GA
Sister-In-Law: Gayle Elkes of Ocala, FL
Brother-In-Law: Burley Page Jr. (Connie) of Kite, GA
Four Grandchildren: Emily Cain, Keith Cain, Jessi Norris, Jami Norris, nieces, nephews and extended family.
