James Lamar Mimbs

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. James “Big James” Mimbs, III, age 59, of Adrian, GA on Saturday, March 21, 2020.

Graveside Services will be held on Thursday, March 26, 2020 at 3:00pm at Sardis Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Ray Braddy officiating.

Pallbearers are: Mike Henry, John Page, Ashley Pollette, Athen Walden, Greg Barwick and Thomas Sconyers.

 Mr. James was the son of James Lamar Mimbs, Jr. and Carolyn Flanders Mimbs. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith. James had many jobs through the years and was considered a master of many trades, most notably his skill as a heavy equipment operator. James loved hunting, fishing and many outdoor activities. He had a passion for restoring old vehicles and was more than partial to a Chevrolet. He also loved cooking and his talent for grilling won him several cook-off competitions.  He was an avid listener of Classic Country Jukebox on Y96. James was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents.

Survivors Include:

His Sisters: Melanie Braddy (Ray) of Statesboro, GA and Tracie Mimbs (Johnny) of Adrian, GA.

His Brother: Joel Mimbs of Adrian, GA
