Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. James “Rabbit” L. Cooper, age, 76, of Kite, GA, on Monday, April 6, 2020 at Select Specialty in Augusta, GA
Private graveside services will be conducted at Kite City Cemetery in Kite, GA with Rev. Lamar Kersey and Rev. Burton Dixon officiating.
Born in Kite, Georgia in 1943 he was the son of J.C. and Edna Mae Shepard Cooper. Rabbit enjoyed visiting people and riding with his dog Snowball whom he loved. Rabbit retired from truck driving after 36 years. James served 12 years with the National Guard and attended Kite Church of God. He was preceded in death by his wife of over 40 years, Emmer Lee Kight Cooper; a daughter Susie Hood; a son Jerry Williams and a sister, Johnnie Mae Cooper Taylor.
Survivors Include:
A Sister: Carolyn Jean Flanders of Dellwood, GA.
Two Brothers: Jacky Cooper of Kite, GA and Jerry Cooper also of Kite, GA
