Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Jahala Nasworthy Cumbee, age 58 of Twin City, GA, on Wednesday, April 1, 2020.
Due to the current circumstances and health concerns, a Private Graveside service will be conducted at Eastbrook Cemetery and Mausoleum with Rev. Franklin Sasser officiating.
Pallbearers will be Georgia State Patrol Troopers of Post 19.
Honorary Escorts will also be Georgia State Patrol Troopers.
A resident of Twin City, Jahala was the daughter of Luther M. and Virginia Thompson Nasworthy. Serving almost 30 years cumulatively; Jahala was formerly a license examiner and supervisor for Department of Drivers Services for both Statesboro and Swainsboro offices and was currently a Secretary for Georgia State Patrol, Post 19. She loved her cats and enjoyed feeding and watching hummingbirds. In her spare time she would crochet scarves and she also liked to cross stitch.
Jahala is survived by her husband of 30 years, Tim Cumbee of Twin City, GA.
Two Brothers and Sisters-In-Law: Glenn and Diane Nasworthy of Monticello, GA and Lyn Nasworthy and Reba Tankersley of Swainsboro, GA.
