Hilda Ann (Sammons) Crovatt

Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Hilda Ann Crovatt, age 73, of Portal, GA, on Saturday, October 27, 2018.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at 2:00 PM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Elder Tommy Rountree officiating.

Interment will follow Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery in Wrightsville, GA.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1:00 PM till time of service.

Pallbearers are Lee Glisson, Rhett Glisson, Joel Byrd, Trey Seamans, Jacob Seamans, and Dylan Royal

Mrs. Crovatt was born September 3, 1945 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Craig and Clara Fausett Sammons.  She was a legal secretary  and retired from Georgia Southern University. Mrs. Crovett was previously employed with Marvin Pittman Laboratories School, Hal Roach Attorney at Law and Phyllis Kravich Law Office.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and loved spending time with her family and cats Max and Ginger.     

Survivors Include:

Her Husband of 43 years: James "Jimmy" Crovatt of Portal, GA

One Daughter: Rebecca "Becky" Byrd (Michael) of Orangeburg, SC

One Son: Robert "Robby" Seamans (Lynn) of Portal, GA

Two Sisters: Carolyn Rosenfield of Milledgeville, GA and Susan Gray (Darryl) of Swainsboro, GA

One Brother: Craig "Pete" Sammons (Pao) of Myrtle Beach, SC

Eleven Grandchildren: Trey Seamans (Courtney), Alison Seamans (Dylan), Jacob Seamans, Lee Glisson (Nikki), Rhett Glisson (Courtney), Joel Byrd, Addie Byrd, Thomas Byrd, Parker Byrd, Brycen Byrd, and Owen Byrd.

Five Great-Grandchildren, nieces, nephews and extend family.
