Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. George Lamar Youmans, age 91, of Twin City, GA, on Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Community Hospice in Vidalia, GA.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday, August 9, 2019 at 3:00 PM, in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Jim Harrell officiating assisted by Rev. Richard Barnard.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service, from 2:00 until 3:00 PM.
Interment will be in the New Hope Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Lexsy, GA
Pallbearers are: Brent Youmans, Chad Harper, Mark Johnson, Joey Johnson, Rhett Harper, Casey Sapp, Tal Wimberly and Hank Durden.
Mr. Youmans was born September 26, 1927 in Wesley, Emanuel County, GA to the late Otis B. and Laura Alice Watkins Youmans and was a United States Army Veteran. Mr. Youmans was a retired School Bus Driver for 30 Years; a Farmer; and a Baptist. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with family and friends. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, Lucious and Watkins Youmans.

His Loving Wife of 66 years: Peggy Ann Bennett Youmans of Twin City, GA.
Two Daughters: Rebecca Durden (Bill) of Twin City, GA and Bertie Sapp (L.D. “Sandy”) of Nunez, GA.
One Son: Ronnie Lamar Youmans (Mary Ann) of Twin City, GA
Nine Grandchildren: Casey (Melissa) Sapp, Jason Sapp, Melissa (Chad) Harper, Jessica Durden, Hank (Sonja) Durden, Dori (Clay) Johnson, Mark (Stephanie) Johnson, Joey Johnson, and Brent (Sandra) Youmans.
