Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. George William Hall, age 83, of Twin City, GA, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, at the Emanuel Medical Center.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at 1:00 PM in the Twin City United Methodist Church with Rev. Mark Miller officiating.
Interment will follow in the Coleman Cemetery in Twin City, GA
The family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 5 -7 PM.
Pallbearers are Robert Skibicki, Ryan Skibicki, Reid Skibicki, Seth Pritchard, Tim Baker and J. T. Baker.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Jack Minor, Brian Skibicki, Wayne Collins and the O. A. Hall Store Crew.
Mr. Hall, George, was born January 27, 1939, in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA, to the late Ottis Alva Hall Sr. and Georgia Belle Rich Hall. He was a graduate of ECI (Emanuel County Institute) and served his country in the US Army National Guard. Mr. George retired after 30 plus years with Thermo King. He was also co-proprietor and pecan buyer in this region for over 70 years with his brother O. A. “Bud” Hall Jr. Mr. George was never one to set idle and enjoyed working, so he continued to run the family store. A man of simple needs for himself, he was known to be generous with his family, friends and especially those in need. He was an avid ECI Bulldog football fan, never had an enemy and was a member of the Twin City United Methodist Church. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Bess Hall Sindlinger and Peggy Hall Owens; and brother, Ottis Alva “Bud” Hall Jr.
Survivors include:
Loving wife of 52 years: Linda Frost Hall of Twin City, GA.
Daughters: Kim Hall Canady (Barry) and Lisa Hall Taylor (Russ) all of Twin City, GA.
Grandchildren: Meghan Canady, Macy Canady, Allyson Taylor and William Taylor.
Nieces, nephews, and extended family.
