Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. George Edward "Eddie" Edenfield, age 69, of Swainsboro, GA on Tuesday, February 6, 2018 at the Augusta University Medical Center in Augusta, GA
Funeral services will be Friday, February 9, 2018 at 11:00 AM in the Mt. Shady Baptist Church with Rev. Rusty Moore and Rev. Wayne Page officiating.
Interment will follow in the Edenfield Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6-8 PM.
Pallbearers are Jimmy Todd, Russell Moore, Dale Smith, Ray Cox, Eddie Phillips and Tommy Givens.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Fulghum Ind. Employees and Robert Marsh.
Mr. Edenfield was born June 30, 1948 in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA, to the late Luther and Mattie Jean Edenfield, was a welder by trade and was employed by Fulghum Ind. for 53 years. Being an outdoorsmen, he loved hunting and fishing. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Douglas.

One Daughter: Cindy Brett (Jay) of Milledgeville, GA
His Companion: Donna Graham Edenfield of Swainsboro, GA
One Sister: Teresa Douglas of Swainsboro, GA
Five Brothers: James Edenfield of Sandersville, GA, David Edenfield, Homer Eugene Douglas and Mickey Randall Douglas all of Swainsboro, GA and Gary Ray Douglas (Bonnie) of Norristown, GA.
Three Grandchildren: Wade Dawkins, Keith Dawkins and Jessica Dawkins
Three Great-Grandchildren: Jamie Lee Garrett, Matthew Radney, June Rose Dawkins, nieces, nephews, cousins and extended family.
