Mr. Gary Ray Douglas, 64, of Swainsboro, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at Memorial Health in Savannah. Mr. Douglas was born in Swainsboro, on September 29, 1960, to Homer Lee Douglas and Mattie Jean Edenfield Douglas. He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers, Eddie Edenfield, Wayne Douglas, Eugene Douglas, Bennie Douglas.
Mr. Douglas enjoyed being with family. He loved cabinet work. Mr. Douglas enjoyed visiting his family and riding on the boat. Mr. Douglas loved just being a papa to his grand and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his daughter, Nora McDonald (Ryan) of Woodbine; wife, Bonnie Ferguson Douglas of Folkston; brothers, David Lee Edenfield of Swainsboro, James Edenfield of Worthen, Mickey Randall of Lyons; sisters, Teresa Kirby, Virginia Willis, Betty Jean Brantley; grandchildren, Savannah McDonald, RJ McDonald; great grandchildren, Kasen Burgos, Wesley Bennett.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 28, 2024, at Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Reverend Rusty Moore officiating.
Interment will follow at Edenfield Family Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Friday, December 27, 2024, at Durden Hudson Funeral Directors.
The Pallbearers will be Hunter Clements, Dalton Clements, Charles Clements, Greg Phillips, Brian Douglas, Eddie Phillips, Adam Douglas.
