Durden-Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mrs. Gail W. Sconyers, age 79, of Savannah, GA formerly of Swainsboro, GA on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Rivers Edge Retirement Community.
Funeral services will be Thursday, January 17, 2019 at 11:00 AM in the Peebles-Curry Memorial Chapel with Rev. Brad McKenzie officiating.
Interment will follow in the Eastbrook Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday, January 17, 2019 from 10:00 AM till time of service.
Pallbearers are Mark Smith, William Brickhouse, Mitchell Guthrie, Mike Guthrie, Kaleb Guthrie and Glenn Moore
Mrs. Sconyers was born October 18, 1939, in Swainsboro, Emanuel County, GA to the late Toby M. Sr. and Nannie Dell Shepard Wilson and was a Swainsboro High School Graduate. She was employed by Dolores & Woodys Department Store, later retired from Ashley's Department Store and was a member of Emanuel Christian Ministries. Mrs. Sconyers enjoyed gardening, shopping, decorating and traveling. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Sconyers and brother Toby "Buddy" Wilson Jr.
Survivors include:
Three Daughters: Angie Smith (Sandra Seoane) of Savannah, GA, Lisa Moore (Glenn) of Boerne, TX and Pam Lewis (Terry) of Perry, GA
One Son: Johnny Smith (Carla) of Twin City, GA
One Sister: Wanda Smith of Scott, GA
One Brother: Joe Wilson (Gail) of Kite, GA
Five Grandchildren: Ashley Davis, Kelly Ricks (Jeremy), Craig Smith, Justin Moore and Hunter Moore
Three Great-Grandchildren: Alba Ricks, Nash Ricks, Sailor Davis, nieces, nephews and extended family.
