Eleanor (Anderson) Nasworthy

Mrs. Eleanor Anderson Nasworthy, 82, of Kite passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at Emanuel Medical Center.  She was born on June 26, 1943, in Santa Claus to the late George Anderson and Earleen Mosley Anderson.  Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walter Hugh Nasworthy; sisters, Birddie Rountree, Helen Nasworthy; brother, Benny Anderson.

Eleanor was a devoted member of Old Bethel Church and found joy in the simple things she loved most, gardening, tending to her flowers, and painting. Her grandson, Ayrron, was truly the light of her life, and the two shared a special bond filled with laughter. They even had a running joke, calling chocolate-covered pecans “chocolate-covered roaches.” Eleanor also had a love for traveling and exploring new places. She retired from the Emanuel County Board of Education, where she worked faithfully in the food service department.

Survivors include her son, Walter Nasworthy of Kite; daughter, Rhonda K. Jones of Kite; grandson, Ayrron Jones of Kite; several nieces, nephews and many friends.

Graveside Service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in Old Bethel Cemetery with Reverends Phil Wilson and Ross Parker officiating.

Pallbearers will be Scotty Nasworthy, Adam Lane, Rusty Lane, Recy Lillard, Ayrron Jones and Darrell Edenfield.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethel-Moxley cemetery fund C/O Mr. Walter Nasworthy, 8390 Pinetucky Road, Kite, GA 31049.
