Edward F. Bishop

Durden Hudson Funeral Directors announces the death of Mr. Edward F. Bishop, age 85, of Midville, GA, on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at Emanuel County Nursing Home.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at 11:00 AM in Hines
Baptist Church with Rev. Billy Brinson and Rev. Randy Walden officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday Evening, September 24, 2018 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM.

Mr. Bishop will lie in state at the church one hour prior to the service.

Interment will be in the Hines Baptist Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers are:  Bill Rountree, Wayne Rountree, Phil Drew, Bill Hall, Charles Wilcher, and Mike Fagler.

Mr. Bishop was born on March 14, 1933, in Canoochee, GA, to the late Arthur Mason and Myra Lee Snellgrove Bishop.  Mr. Bishop was retired with Lily Tulip Co. in Augusta and a Carpenter. He was a member and Deacon of Hines Baptist Church.  In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by a sister, Grace Fagler and a brother, Arthur Mason Bishop, Jr.

Survivors include:

Three Daughters:  Elizabeth Ann Mathis and Patricia Ann Marsh (Cal) both of Milledgeville, GA and Betty Jo Hall (Larry) of Midville, GA

One Sister:  Joan Funderburke of Swainsboro, GA

Three Grandchildren: Jennifer Johnson, Jeffrey Hall, and Clay Mathis

Two Great Grandchildren:  Ethan Johnson and Caleb Mathis
