Clarence Darling Sr. and Opal Dixon Cumbee and was a 1943 graduate of ECI (Emanuel County Institute) and attended Business School in Lake City, FL. Mrs. Dot, as most of us knew her, was one of the two originators of the Emanuel Medical Center Volunteers, she volunteered for 50 plus years and was the first president.
