Mrs. Donna Theresa Bowman, 61, of Midville passed away Sunday, May 10, 2026, at her residence. She was born on October 28, 1964, in Millen to the late Donald J. Wiggins and Patricia Ann Spence Wiggins. Donna was preceded in death by her parents and lifelong companion, Murry Bowman.
Donna Bowman was a woman of many titles. She was mama to four, mammie to six, a soon-to-be great-grandma to one, and a friend to many. She played many roles throughout her life: caregiver, protector, teacher, encourager, and friend. Through every challenge she faced, she showed resilience and compassion while always putting the needs of her loved ones before her own.
Since becoming a grandma in 2004, her hobbies centered around her grandkids. Those hobbies included fishing, playing dress-up, doing nails, jumping on the trampoline, making slime, coloring, and attending ballgames and honors days. She was the best fishing buddy there ever was.
She loved deeply, protected fiercely, and gave endlessly to the ones she loved. Family meant everything to her. She made sure everyone was cared for, and no one ever had to worry about going hungry, that is for sure.
She taught those around her that life is meant to be lived with love, faith, resilience, and a little bit of sass. Donna was a source of strength, comfort, laughter, and a whole lot of unconditional love.
The love, compassion, resilience, and faith she showed through the way she lived each day will stay in the hearts of those who loved her forever.
Survivors include her daughters, Johnna Raines of Midville, Nikki Bowman of Tifton, Kelley Bowman of Swainsboro, Haley Bowman of Augusta; brother, Stephen Wiggins (Denise) of Midville; grandchildren, Zach Raines, Mason McLean, Reelyn McLean, Rainleigh McLean, Kinley Jersey, Abby Black, Coleman Powers, Bennett Powers; special friend, Cindy Lee; several nieces and many friends.
Funeral Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, May 14, 2026, at Union Grove Methodist Church with Reverend Mark Hardin officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
Pallbearers are Zach Raines, Mason McLean, Joe Powers and David Lambert.
